Dr. Jorge Garcia has over 25 years of experience practicing in a variety of clinical settings, including both inpatient and outpatient settings, working with children, adolescents, and adults. He received his undergraduate education from the University of Southern California and obtained his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology (Alliant University).

Dr. Garcia is a Certified EMDR clinician (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a Certified Anger Management Facilitator (CAMF), and a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) for the State of California. He has extensive experience with psychological testing for learning disabilities, emotional disturbance, bariatric surgery assessments, employment screening, forensic evaluations, and immigration court psychological assessments.

His experience spans many settings, including St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, where he served as staff psychologist and clinical supervisor, providing in-service training and supervision of doctoral graduate students. For several years he served as a Behavior Specialist and Clinical Director of mental health services at Leeway School (Aspen Youth Services) in Alhambra.

Dr. Garcia has been a member of the American Psychological Association since 1997 and is an Associate member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. He is frequently called upon to testify as an expert court witness in immigration court proceedings.
