Treatment Modalities & Services

Care designed around your needs.

A variety of treatment options for individuals, couples, families — and specialized psychological evaluations.

We offer a variety of treatment designed to meet your special needs, including individual adult therapy, child and adolescent therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy. Psychological evaluations — Workers Compensation, forensic, and immigration — are also available.

Individual, Child & Adolescent, and Family Therapy

The first step in treatment begins with a thorough assessment with one of our licensed therapists. At your first session, you and your therapist will agree on a treatment plan and set goals — looking carefully at your strengths and individual needs, then building on those strengths as the foundation for success.

For children and adolescents, treatment may include a combination of individual and family therapy, where parents may be invited to participate. The shared goal is to help resolve emotional and behavioral issues that cause significant stress and hinder your child's ability to thrive at home, school, with peers, or in the community.

Couples Therapy

Couples and marriage therapy supports partners experiencing difficulty with communication, chronic conflict, or other unhealthy patterns of interaction. Some couples may be considering separation or seeking improved intimacy and understanding.

Although counseling is most effective when discontent first arises, studies show partners often wait an average of six years before seeking help — and the longer the wait, the harder repair becomes. In some cases, couples who have already chosen to separate pursue therapy in order to part amicably and respectfully.

Psychological Assessment & Testing

We provide psychological testing and assessments for a variety of needs. Testing can help clarify a diagnosis or pinpoint specific difficulties. Common assessments include ADHD, learning disabilities, and general intellectual functioning. More specialized evaluations are available depending on your circumstances.

For ADHD, we recommend computerized testing as a more objective measure of attention and focus, in contrast to traditional paper-and-pencil questionnaires completed by teachers or parents that are vulnerable to subjective reporting.

Forensic, Workers Comp & Immigration Evaluations

Dr. Garcia is a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) for the State of California and has extensive experience conducting Workers Compensation evaluations, forensic assessments, and immigration psychological evaluations. He is frequently called upon to testify as an expert court witness in immigration court proceedings.

All such evaluations are arranged by calling our main number — our office coordinator will be happy to schedule the appointment.
